Over the edge

Over the Edge is a signature peer-to-peer fundraising event in support of the StrongerTogether Community Festival. Festival attendees are invited to accept the challenge to rappel 400 feet off the Truist Building in Richmond, VA to celebrate and support our recovery community.

October 12, 2024, I will stand atop the towering structure of Truist Place, acutely aware of the heartbreaking legacy of addiction that has plagued families for generations. This urban rappel is far more than just an extreme physical challenge – it is a symbolic act of defiance against the cycle that has caused so much pain. With each step down the vertical descent, I reject the shame and helplessness that has become all too familiar for millions. This journey is a beacon of hope for those still struggling, offering a roadmap for a new path forward.
