Over the EDge FAQ

  • Over The Edge is a special events company that provides signature urban rappelling events for non-profit organizations anywhere in North America. Business leaders, individuals, and community members are invited to raise donations in exchange for the experience of going Over The Edge of a local building and rappelling down the side of the building. Over The Edge has raised over $70 million for non-profits around the world.

  • Rappellers must weigh between 100 and 300 pounds to ensure their safety while rappelling.

  • People in their 80s and 90s rappel! The only restriction is that anyone under the age of 18 requires a parent or guardian’s signature on the legal waiver.

  • Rappellers will go Over The Edge on Saturday, October 12. Once you get close to your fundraising goal, we’ll reach out to you to schedule what time you’ll be rappelling.

  • We cannot guarantee you'll rappel at the exact time you're hoping for, however, if you have a preference of morning or afternoon, please send us an email and let us know! We will do our absolute best to accommodate!

  • We encourage everyone to spend as much of the day as they can at the event! We would love to have support for everyone rappelling, and it should make for a fun day! However, you only need to arrive with enough time for registration, staging, and your actual rappel.

  • Anywhere from 20-30 minutes

  • The rappel is 400 feet high.

  • The OTE team is VERY strict about windspeed & monitors the weather days leading up to the event. We would rappel in the rain but NOT in thunder/lightning or high winds.
